SainSmart PA6 Nylon Filament 1.75mm, 1kg

Engineered for high-stress applications, SainSmart PA6 Nylon Filament delivers exceptional strength, high thermal resistance, and superior impact resistance. Formulated for reliable performance with minimal warping and low odor, this engineering-grade thermoplastic is ideal for functional prototypes, mechanical gears, bearings, and heavy-duty industrial components.

Key Features & Benefits

  • High Mechanical Strength: Provides robust toughness, durability, and wear resistance for load-bearing functional parts.
  • Heat & Impact Resistant: Retains structural integrity in demanding high-temperature and high-impact environments.
  • Low-Warp Formulation: Formulated to minimize warpage and ensure consistent layer adhesion throughout the print.
  • Odorless & Non-Toxic: Clean-printing material suitable for enclosed desktop 3D printing environments.

Recommended Print Settings

  • Nozzle Temperature: 220°C – 280°C
  • Bed Temperature: 80°C – 100°C
  • Print Speed: 30 – 70 mm/s
  • Diameter Accuracy: 1.75mm (±0.04mm)
  • Net Weight: 1kg (2.2 lbs)

Important Printing & Storage Guidelines

  • Hardened Nozzle Recommended: Nylon can cause accelerated wear on standard brass nozzles. A hardened steel or ruby nozzle is strongly recommended.
  • Moisture Management: Nylon is highly hygroscopic (absorbs moisture quickly). Keep the filament stored in a dry box or vacuum bag with desiccant, and dry prior to printing for optimal results.
  • Support Removal: If using PA6 as its own support structure, remove supports promptly before the material absorbs ambient moisture to prevent permanent bonding.
